Internship opportunity for students who participate in the Logisticom 2015

More than 200 students and guests gathered in the Information Day on June 13 of The Logisticom 2015 –  a competition about Logistics & Supply Chain – to discover exciting activities and prizes of the competition

The organizers who are students from RMIT Vietnam Business Club announced and explained each exciting round. With the Video Making Round and Amazing Race Round, the competition facilitates contestants how to apply theory to practice before the confrontation at the finale. The total prizes are over 460 million VND, with internship opportunities at DECATHLON for each member of the champion team.

The Information Day highlighted the tight links between The Logisticom and businesses and professionals. Besides Strategic Partner – Vietnam Logistics Institute, The Logisticom also invited professors and industry experts to come to discuss on the importance of the supply chain on  economic development as well as advice to support graduate students.

In his opening remarks, Professor Axel Marrocco – RMIT University’s Lecturer & Advisor of The Logisticom 2015 – said that the competition was organized to discover and develop young talent, providing qualified human resources for this potential industry. .

Professor also shared that this year’s theme is  “Respect the elderly”. He stated, when the Vietnamese economy is developing significantly, the elderly has been forgotten. Professor said: “The older generations as our grandparents deserve attention and respect from their descendants and community, so I hope that the candidates can find the best solution for the elderly to get reasonable care. “

According to Professor Marrocco , this year’s competition not only challenges students to apply knowledge into practice, but also bring more connection to the community for students.

” We hope that through this competition , the contestants will earn as many skills as possible  to apply in their future career  and access to great opportunities . The organizers and I will try our best to bring the exciting activity and improve quality through each round of the contest”.
